And Elvis said unto thee "Let there be gas"!

Howz bout an update on what I have ‘heard’ concerning the proposed gas station here in da Breach.

It appears a ‘stop work’ order was issued I believe by the S.B. village council. It also appears that work has indeed stopped. But the delivery of material has not. There is a big pile of beam looking things laying there now, but not a construction worker to be seen.

This will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Will Elvis get permission to build his gas station on what seems to be the worst place ever for one? And if so, how will he do it?
As you all know, everything and everybody is for sale in Belize.
And it is amazing how cheaply people can be bought and sold.

We went back to Belmopan for yet another try at sorting out the problem the Lands dept created with our property. Seems we got it all straight after about 6 trips and lots of frustration.
We also bought the tile we need for our upgrades that start tomorrow.
Everything is ready to go, sinks have been removed and all dishes and crap is out of the way.
Then I see our contractor this morning and of course, he won’t start now till Monday.
It’s shit like this that was the reason we allowed 2 months to complete what is most likely a 2 week job.
Maybe someone issued me a stop order, before we started!

But the greatest love–the love above all loves, Even greater than that of a mother… Is the tender, passionate, undying love, Of one beer drunken slob for another.
