Are ya drinkin with me Jesus?

OK,, we are 19 days into the new year and no one has died,,, yet. So far, so good!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not afraid of dying, I just don’t want to be there when it happens.
Our weekly scheduled meetings have been going on but as stated, we really need a membership drive. We can barely meet a quorum.
Things change,,,
One thing that remains constant is the differences between religious folks and nons like me.
I am hearing the same ‘ol complaints about a bar in the village being too loud.
This comes only a few days after a big stink was raised about some religious revival meeting being held at night on the ball court that was so loud people far away were bitching!
But that was met with support from some as it was good for everyone, ‘you all need some churchin up’.
But have a noisy bar? That will be dealt with, swiftly. By GOD!
During that ‘discussion’, everyone was told they need to co-exist. But now it’s different when it is a bar.
Hypocrites.
So, in their honor I serve up these 2 tunes for your enjoyment.
Please turn them up to 10 on the volume knob so everyone can enjoy them, whether they want to or not!!!
By GOD.

The problems seems to be The LOUD, not whether you are high on booze or god.

well that is obvious.
my point is if it is god they support the loud,, if it's at a bar, they demand something be done.
that makes them hypocrites to me.

Indeed it does make them hypocrites as either is annoying as hell.

" But have a noisy bar? That will be dealt with, swiftly. By GOD!"

Swiftly? Really??? When has this ever happened in the village:????

Most civilians would be happy if they were both dealt with swiftly. Or happier yet if they would just be quiet, happy drunks and church mice.

God can hear with the volume down, the drunks would not have yell over the noise to make their point and the civilians could sleep

Win, win, win.

true,, swiftly was not the best choice of words.
as it most likely will never be solved at all. but i just like to point out hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy and religion? Surely you can't be serious.

Yes he is serious RPM, and don't call him Shirley!

At times like these I like to consult the Scriptures, especially Mathew 23:

"28 On the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness."

Be careful however lest someone argues to make a joyful noise unto the Lord in support of Revivals, although I always thought this was meant for The Stones.
