Just some random shit,,, UPDATED!

Well alrighty then. Weekend is about here. You all prepared? I am, sorta.
We have some guests leaving today and we will get that place ready for the next ones but other than that, looks good.

Taking a step into the photography-for-profit world. A tiny step, just dipping my toes in the puddle you might say. This weekend at the Flea Market we will have a table set up. Trying to see if any of our prints are interesting enough that someone will buy one. 5BZ for a 5x7,, reasonable I’d say. It’s a test.
Plus, I will set up the ‘Portrait at the Phlea Market’ booth. Right now as things are planned, you can get your shots for free. Then after I ‘process’ them I will e-mail you a small sample. If you like it you can order a larger size. Still working on a price for those.
Any comments or suggestions? All welcome.

We endured a 10 hr power outage yesterday. It sucked. It was hard to even eat as we don’t want to open the fridge door. I hear the entire country is having issues. Figures.

And,, there are Village Council elections Sunday.
I got pretty discouraged the last time I voted. As we were standing in line to vote, some candidates were strolling the line offering beer for votes.
Then once inside they check your address to see if you can vote in this village election. The guy right in front of me was an neighbor of ours and he votes. We get up to vote and all the sudden there is a big problem with whether Maya Beach is in the jurisdiction? The a-holes running the show didn’t even know where The Breach was! 10 minutes later they decided it was in their area.
I have no faith/confidence in this government. Even as low as the V.C.’s. and as I have yet to see a V.C. do one damn thing, good or bad……

Here’s Scurvy’s favorite line-up.

And here's a bat video from a few weeks ago.

UPDATE: I wanted to let you know my progress and say a big THANKYOU for the donations to the lens fund. I am into the mid 500's now and i have some irons in the fire now that will get me even closer.
Thank you Sandy, Joe, and the reader from Minnesota who all donated cash! (sorry, i forgot your name,,)
And thank you to all who offered to buy me a beer during my stay in re-hab!

I wish temperance leagues still sang anti-drinking religious hymns outside bars, because, you know, it’d be a very funny thing to watch while getting hammered.

Went to visit my 3 grandsons (11, 8 and 5) this weekend. They voted your bat video the ultimate. Good grade, Barn.

It would also be helpful when trying to find bars in a strange city!
