MMMMMMMM,, Bacon!

As previously mentioned, the DoubleWide was upgraded with a BBQ grill. Thank you neighbors!
It’s a locally made model, the ‘Geno Special’. An old butane tank converted to feed me. Nothing special, no bells, not a whistle to be found.
We gave it a test run a few nights ago with some chicken boobs and although slow, it worked fine.
And slow means more beers for me, right?
So now I want to try this heart clogger, incredably healthy recipe. Who doesn’t like bacon? No one that’s who. And bacon will make anything taste better.
You could wrap a dog turd in bacon and it would be great!
(In theory, try this at your own risk. But do report your findings here!)
Maybe I’ll save this experiment for the next ‘bring-yer-own’ hootenanny that pops up.

The recipe in the link, not the bacon wrapped turd, sheesh!

Some new tunes in the juke box!

Bacon Pie

A delicious dish, native to Central New York State (Upstate). The first recorded bacon pie was baked for the celebration of Noah Cook's birthday.
A bacon pie consists of 3 pounds of slightly pre-cooked bacon baked in a pie crust. It is agreed that it is a beautiful dish to behold, and its taste a unique and wonderous thing. Bacon pie is usually only consumed with root beer.
We are the few, the select, the elite, for we only have partaken of the Pie.
You have not, and are therefore inferior.

That bacon sausage business is wild! My only prep suggestion would be to cover the seasoned bacon weave with a piece of plastic wrap before beginning with the sausage/cooked bacon filling. That would make the rolling easier. (Do remove the plastic, tho!)
Do try this when 30 of your friends stop by.
