What's that boy,, Timmy fell into the well,,,?

Years ago, when Scurvy first showed his scroungey ass around here, he did not look too good. We were not in the market for a dog but we had to feed this one. You could tell he had a personality and he seemed to like it here. Finally, one particular set of guests drove it home to us. “He’s going to die if you don’t keep him.” So we did. Over the years we have heard conflicting stories about where he came from one theory keeps popping up, Seine Bight. And it makes sense as I have seen 2 of his relatives there, “Scurvy-er”, and “Scurvy-est” both live down there. Haven’t seen ‘em in awhile tho.
He has turned out to be one fine dog! We are terrible trainers so luckily he figured it out himself.
He loves the guests! He follows them everywhere. Used to be he would go to the bars with us. We only went to ‘dog friendly’ bars anyway as were most. But,, the area is changing.
Then imagine my surprise when I opened this weeks paper and saw an article where the cops are hunting “Scurvy” in Seine Bight!!! I had no idea there was a real person called Scurvy living there!
Guess he is accused of raping a girl.
Anyway, I stumbled across this photo from march ’03 when he was about 4 months old(we think), and added a shot I took last night.
























My favorite blog, Strobist, just did an ‘end of the year’ type thingy. It’s a photography lighting blog that focuses on 'off-camera' lighting. The author made a slideshow of his favorite photos that readers have sent in over the last year. I considered it a honor to have a couple of mine included in this group of amazing photos!
