I'm gonna try to stir up some creative juices once again. Been doing nothing but sitting on my somewhat old, somewhat fat ass for a few years now, Time to stir up some shit!

I believe when we were last were here, we were smack in the middle of a plague! People were coughin, sneezin, wheezin, gaggin, sweatin, barfin and generally looking like shit!
At the worst, some folks around here even died.
Me? I took all the suggested shots, stayed away from humans, and drank a huge dent in the Jack Danials supply in the tri state area.
If the virus did worm it's way into my system, i bet it took one look around and said, "Yeesh,, I'm outa here!"
So yea,, I been fine. Mrs Barn as well. How could a virus named after a beer take me down anyway? Pfffft, yea, right.
Speaking of whiskey, let's start with the latest and work our way back.
I had to give up the JD. DR's orders (suggestion really). Seems my liver had taken an ass whoopin and was beginning to whine about it. All those years of being awarded "employee of the month" was taking it's toll.
So OK,, I will drop the beer. DR wanted me to quit for 3 months then get checked again. I had no idea but they figured out your liver is crying with a blood test?

3 months cam up and got tested again.

Got a bunch o good readings! Was feeling very good about it too.
Then when we showed the results to the DR so I could get the gold star for the fridge door, we found out the lab screwed up the results and I had to start over.
Fuck.

As one would say when you have to extend your sobriety.

Me, being the rebel that I am, had been drinking beer on fridays with the boys, just as has been for about 20 years. What could a few beers hurt? right?

The day came for a new blood test. Went to the vampire in 'Griga and fed his need.
Got the results back that night. The next day, as I tried not to be worried, we went to show the DR.

Yeah well,, FUCK OFF! I got a good score!!

I can again drink, in moderation. And there won't be any whiskey.
My liver regenerated it's self! Turns out it is as tough as a hunk of old shoe leather!
I am still behaving as it keeps the peace 'round the casa. But pouring the beers down my burrito shute on fridays!
So, where am I gulping these beers you may ask. Well, we have been bouncing around as necessary.

For years our go-to 'bar' was the Hungry Gecko (Doris), Our kinda place. Absolutely nothing fancy. Just like I like it.
She gave up the bar biz and sent us packing.

We landed at the bowling alley. One notch up on the ambiance scale, but still my style.

Mango's has been very VERY unreliable ever since the latest owner took over. Never know if it would be open. Then, just when it seems to be doing a great business, WHAM,, a 4-sale sign shows up, doors closed, again.
Back on the bar hunt.
Tried a couple 'fancy' places, brew barge, inkys, just not our style.
Then an old friend fired up Malu-lu's, (could be saying it wrong). Now this is right, straight up my alley! About 20ft from the beach, old bamboo hut that serves beer and has music. A small menu but it has proven to be good chow. Don't go looking for umbrella drinks or meals that are hard to pronounce, won't find either here. Just be careful where you park! As i said, it's 20 ft from the beach, and means sand.

Got to make a Belmopan run today so let's see if I can still remember how to post this.

Barnaclehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869798449884415793noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-888607341254909020.post-16482781972435163622020-09-06T09:52:00.000-06:002020-09-06T09:53:05.382-06:00Plague rats,,,
We have been in quarantine, basicly, ever since march. Our airport has been closed as well as the border crossings. They are doing a great job at keeping the number of 'Rona cases as low as possible. I think we have had 14 deaths. Not bad when you compare to other countrys.
They planned to open the airport on Aug 15th but when a spike in cases arrived they changed their minds.
Seems some asshole bigshot investor from Texas managed to convince the GOP to allow his private jet to bring him and some others in to San Pedro.
Well, bigger than shit, they cause SP to be locked down tighter than a Nun's coochy!
Now they say the airport will open on Oct 1st for daily flights.
Personally, I would like to see them ban people from the US completely as some 100+ other country's have.
They are not taking it serious up there and will no doubt bring it down here.

Plague rats,,,
Look at the Sturgis rally in August. Anyone with any working brain cells would not have gone this year but people just refuse to change their lives/habits because of something they cannot see.
Now a few weeks later they have confirmed deaths traced back to Sturgis.
And yet still there are many other largs scale events scheduled to take place and idiots will line up for tickets.

Barnaclehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869798449884415793noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-888607341254909020.post-32116043712711465242020-09-03T09:16:00.000-06:002020-09-03T09:16:38.632-06:00Who the phuck names a hurricane Nana?
I have always believed that it was Nana who brought you cookies and milk. Not 75 miles per hour coconuts! Who the phuck names a hurricane Nana?
Well we watched for days as Nana grew from a speck on the map to a depression to a tropical storm. And the entire time it was pointed directly at us, no question.

Was scheduled to reach us around nighttime Wednesday so I made some preparations. Our local hardware store would run out of plywood in a short time.

So if the first one don't hit us, the second one has another chance.

Kinda bitter sweet here. I/we believe our new house will survive just fine. Maybe some roof leaks. Our only concern is the car. It lives below the house and is up about 2 feet and protected by the house but a big storm surge could put some salt water on it.
My other concern is Barnacle Bill's. I know we sold it and don't own it but we have 22 years of dedication to it. Hard to just walk away and say fuck it! We would hate to watch it all get blown away. Especially since it would all come our way! At possibly 140 mph.
So we may have to make a whiskey run, maybe grab some chicken while we are out, but they say it could be here in about 4 days. Fun times indeed.

If you look real close you can see Invest 99l. I'm not going to say it is necessarily good news, it could end up being very bad news. Guess we will have to wait and see.
The Gubment is saying they will reopen the international airport on Oct 1st.
Sure it would be great news if things were going to be like it was 6 months ago, but Belize gets the largest portion of visitors from the U.S. and as we can see, they are mostly infected. Still a whole bunch who refuse to wear a mask, even getting into brawls over it! Soon they will start shooting each other over a mask.
The stats you see every day are astounding. And yet Trump seems to just brush it aside like he can't be bothered.
People refuse to change their life style. The Sturgis ralley went on as planned and like everyone with a decent brain knew, they are coming down with the 'rona now. Who knows how far they could spread it.
And cheetoman is holding rallys again and you KNOW his supporters don't wear no stinkin mask.
Hell, I would wear one just make sure no one suspects me a Trump supporter!

There's still something like 100+ country's that won't let the Plague rats in their county.

Things could go straight to shit if they are not very careful.

We personally will be fine if they kept it closed but there a lot more folks who are not as fortunate and need work.

So with that, i'll lave you with a photo of a very nice looking cock!

A foolish man complains of his torn pocket.
A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.
Barnaclehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869798449884415793noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-888607341254909020.post-83123776730136845682020-08-27T08:19:00.001-06:002020-08-27T08:21:37.102-06:00Chicken day at the retirement home
This chicken was labeled 'REGULAR'. Not sure what the other options were. I don't think I have ever cooked a whole chicken in a crockpot before, always roasted them on the oven. And how come us and cows and shit don't have gizzards? And why does the dog have anal glands? First time I heard of them I said,"you're gonna squeeze what?" I think I could use a set of anal glands these days. This all ties in with the chicken dinner coming up.

We been trying a new diet, Keto, basically it's a low/no carb diet. We were doing so well with 2 deaths and no cases for days. But then it spiked. Sounds like the biggest problem is with border jumpers. Ironically, I hear people are sneaking across to Mexico and smuggling back Corona beer! Go figure.
We handle it OK here as we never really venture out anyway. Her once a week poker games and my once a week drink-fest with the guys are now on hold. We have been doing these events for many years.
Me and a few guys get together at Doris's shop and we knock back a few while we solve all the worlds problems.
With one flaw. No body takes notes. So we have to meet again next week and do it all over again.
For awhile there we were losing guys to the hearafter at an alarming rate. Treetop, Scott, George.
When someone would die, I would find a photo I had of them and print out an 8x10. Then take it to Doris's and pin it to the door. Once I just printed a 8x10 of a ? and pinned it up with them. Who's next?

We are required to wear a mask. Here's my new one.

My new favorite shirt from our neighbors the Crocodile Research Coalition. No gatherings, no bars, take out food only ect. Which none of that realy bothers me anyway as we just stay home anyway and do our drinking right here. Luckily we get along well enough it works out fine.
One problem is we had said once we retire we want to go visit Cuba, before it gets screwed up. But now neither one of us want to get on a plane! Maybe we can find a ship willing to sail our asses over there.

So now I have a shit-ton of time on my hands that I can get back into blogging. I have got quite a few requests for that so here we go.I also see I need to find that button that magically fixes all my spelling and other errors. I am rusty and don't see it.

Good time to be away from the beach lot as well. There is construction going on both sides. Both jobs seem like they will go on for years!

So bear with me as I ease back into this. With all the time I got, I should be able to crank out some shit somewhat often.

Barnaclehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869798449884415793noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-888607341254909020.post-76660587264013684512018-05-16T13:34:00.000-06:002018-05-16T13:34:50.773-06:00Let's see if I can remember how to do this,,,,

Ok, it's been quite awhile since I did any blogging. Maybe it's time to hack out some stuff.
We have been in our new house for a year now and we LOVE IT! We waited 20 years in a 16x20 house. Since there is two of us I always say it was realy 8x10, and that O.J. had more room than that. But we got along just fine, know each other probably better than most couples as a result. We did not even have a bathroom door! I am no carpenter, I can

not do much with wood, maybe start a fire is about it. So when she asked me to add a shelf above the bathroom door, I grudingly went to work. It turned out better that I expected too. But while I was patting myself on the back I found out that now the door won't close. So had to loose the door. And when we moved out, I could not find the door, had to get a guy to make us a new one.

We still have our nights apart where she plays poker and I hang with some drinkig buddys, only thing changed is the venue.
And sometimes it makes the next morning a bit fuzzy.

Been enjoying the fact that I have a real kitchen now. Cooking more than ever, the cast iron is getting a real workout. I send munchies to the girls poker games and last one was bacon wrapped brussel sprouts. Sounds a bit weird but they were good. You can wrap a dog turd in bacon and it would be good.(so I am told, no first hand experiance!)
Business has been good despite how much I want out of it. She slaps me back in line when I get grumpy and points out that we are still making money.
And I signed up for Social Security this month! Whoo Hooo,, let's hope the dipshits running the show up north don't screw it all up for me.
What are we now about 3 weeks into construction? Sounds ‘bout right.
They are really haulin ass! Today they poured the slab under the house and they already have the post up for both decks. All this with a tiny generator and a small roll around cement mixer.
Today it has been hovering around 95-99 degrees and these young guys can be seen running with full wheelbarrows of cement! Makes a guy feel a bit old, watching from a safe distance.
They plan to have all the other columns up by the Easter break, next Wednesday.
Has not been too much of a headache for us. The drone of the gen and cement mixer seem to lull me to sleep!
On the other end of the property, it’s a different story.
All the sudden one fine morning, Hey Mo, Hey Larry pier construction crew began building a pier one lot to the north of us.
These guys also have a generator going and a water pump. The fumes from them are bad at times due to the direction of the breeze.
And they are just a bunch of naturaly noisy guys. Lots of yelling and hollerin, whoopin and shit.
So much so, we had a set of guests leave two days early due to the noise.
When he left he told me it was because he was sick and needed air conditioning. Nothing about noise.
I found out about the noise when I saw his review on trip advisor.
Neither of these problems are under our control, certainly not the pier construction.
And if we have to have a guest leave in order to get a new house, PHUCK HIM!
His name was Dick btw,, and he was every bit one while he was here.
Nobody knows how much I want to retire!

Here’s some interesting shit.
A few months ago the US Embassy decided they needed a new Warden for this area. Seems the last one got fired. (another story)
So I was approached by some neighbors/drinkin buddies and asked if I wanted the job. Seemed like something interesting to do.
So I said Sure!
So bigger n shit, a few months later I met with my new ‘boss’/hottie for beers while she interviewed me. (thanks for the beers tax payers)
I got my package of supplies I could need and she thanked me and sent me on my way.
So what does a Warden do you ask? Well, not much. Mostly help spread whatever word the US embassy wants to get out to the US citizens. Emergency alerts, passport changes, and just help in whatever way they can.
Yesterday was the annual Warden’s luncheon at the Ambassadors house.
Yea, I had to find a clean pair of shorts and a shirt that Mrs. Barn thought fit the required dress code of ‘business casual’. Oh, and some shoes.

First half of the morning was listening to some speakers and just general crap we needed to know. A top cop, a immigration mucky muck, and FBI guy, and our ‘contacts’ at the embassy all spoke for a bit while we chomped on cake and coffee.
Then they packed our happy asses into a bus and took us to the other side of the compound to the Ambassador’s house for lunch.
Hey, I want you all to rest assured, your tax dollars were well spent on his humble digs.
Wholey shit, what a nice place! It could be confused for Pablo Escabars house!
I was not privy to a tour but glancing around after meeting Hiz Honor, you can tell what it was.
We all went out to the back yard which was of course landscaped perfectly where they had 4 tables set up for us and a chow line of food.
Got my grub and scammed a nice spot at one table.

Biggr n shit, Hiz Honor and his wife sat right next to me!
We chatted about some stuff, not the stuff I would normally chat about but it was pleasant. Nice guy and his wife too.
So lunch was good and when it was over he gave us a little attaboy speech, and then we packed back on the bus and made our way back to the embassy parking lot.
As we were leaving they gave us all our complimentary body bags!

You heard me right. The cops don’t have any so if someone croaks in my area, I supply the body bag and depending on the circumstances, a ride to the morgue in ‘Griga!
I think it depends on whether or not the cops are available or something.
Anyway, Mrs. Barn said flat out “no fuckin dead bodies in the new car”!
So Frank said I could haul whoever in the Mango’s truck.
Mom would be proud, if she could understand!

So all in all it was an interesting day. No terrorists showed up, not that they could do any damage. The fuckin doors to the place are 4in thick solid heavy muthers! It surprises you when you try to pull one open!
So lets hope there is no dying on my watch. Goddammit.

Ok, so I took some time off, now I may be back at it. Mrs.Barn said she would rather see me writing than watching youtube videos. I admit, I am addicted to youtube and I won’t be weening off anytime soon.
Got a few things we can talk about.
Did I mention Barnacle’s is for sale? Well it is.
We have had a pretty good amount of looky-loos come by to kick the tires but have not had an offer yet.
We don’t hate this job and we make a decent living from it so we can just keep on keeping on until it does sell. Although, I find myself acquiring a bad attitude at times. I get a bit short with the guests.
17 years of answering the same questions over and over and over and over and over and then over again is starting to drag me down. Sometimes I make shit up just to keep it interesting.
And then there are all the great guests. The ones who have become friends over the years. I guess it all evens out.
I tell ya what. You want to meet all the real estate agents in town? Hang up a for sale by owner sign and watch how fast them leeches come by to say hi.

I don’t have any respect for that profession. Not so much the actual agents, but the profession.
It seems to me they will just say whatever it takes to get them some money.
Sure, there are some good ones out there but we can sell this place without them, we don’t need their help.
If this was in the states where there are millions of places for sale, and you need help finding the one you want, well I could see using them.
But here, there is one road and we are right on it. Everyone can see my sign just as well as they can see a real estate company sign. I can pitch my property better than any of them could, although one girl told me she could because she has the red white and blue behind her (remax), and then proceeded to tell me we could go behind their backs and save a percent or two! Somewhat sleezy?
They want something like 6-8% to be involved. We are asking 450,000 so you do them math.
We can get all the title work done square and legal for 500us bucks.
Moral of the story? They can all kiss my big, hairy, natural white ass!
So you are caught up on how I feel with that, let’s move on.

You may have noticed my passion for cooking has exploded. And I have an actual love affair going on with cast iron cookware. Is it strange to have a love for a skillet? Turns out no, it is not. I asked Frank at Mango’s who is an actual trained chef and re assured me I am fine. He apparently has a crush on a couple of his knives. No one is allowed near them! So I feel fine as I lovingly run my skillet under the warm water and rub it gently with oil,,,,hold on, I need a minute.

Whew,, that was good.
And that is one of the subjects I watch on youtube. Cooking videos. You can find anything you want and a dozen different ways to cook it. I really enjoy it.

So, Mrs. Barn has got me back to the blog, let’s see if I make a go at it again. This morning it feels right.
See ya in a day or so.
This time is was a terrible accident.
Some friends were drinking in a boat at a marina when for reasons I don't know, two of them, cousins and best friends, began playing with their 9mm pistols. Apparently, they were joking around and pointing them at each other when one went off.
And as a result we lost Vance Cabral.
He was shot in the head and died instantly.
Vance was a very well liked 45yr old Belizean who was a dive guide among other things. He had a way with the ladies, at least it looked like it to me, loved to party and just loved life in general.
I feel really bad for the cousin who not only has to live his life knowing he killed his best friend and cousin, but he has to deal with the cops as well and they may press some charges with him.
I think it could be manslaughter? I don't know but it is just a terrible incident all together.

R.I.P. Vance Cabral
With a regularity that has been way too frequent, one of our friends dies.
Last week, maybe a day or so more, we lost another good friend.
Anyone who lived in this area, and many who had just visited or passed thru, knew Ally.
She was a presence larger than anything. If there was a party going on, she was there, smiling and no doubt dancing, usually on the bar top!
She had something wrong with her insides, can’t remember exactly what it was but she was at the bar when things went wrong. She was taken to the hospital and died shortly.
She is missed and know that she left a huge imprint with anyone who met her.

The ‘nipple’ covers on the top are a bit questionable tho

Needless to say I have spent some time in a few bars, had my fair share of favorites too. Some dives off Navy base’s in Asia. But I have the most time in this bar. I have been drinking in this one since the day it was built, 16 years ago. Mostly in the exact same stool!
The place has seen it’s ups and downs and one dark era when it was run by a guy named Roel, it was bad.
But this is the most successful the place has ever been!
So make sure you visit, try the stuffed Jalapenos!
Ok, made it back from Mango’s. the place looks great! All new thatch on the roof, entryway, inside over the heads, new pizza oven, tables upstairs, and a new expanded outside deck is queued up and ready.
Frank is serious! He is even going to deliver pizzas fer fucksakes.
I ordered a bike rack but so far, no rack. Maybe soon tho.
The new entrance is real nice, and if I fall down I don’t think mi will break anything on the landing.

So I mentioned I got a haircut whilst in Denver.
It had been brewing for quite a while and one trip to ‘Griga, Mrs. Barn got dropped off at the beauty shop. She was armed with a photo of Jamie Lee Curtis, who we all know is a hot MILF babe.

She hands over the photo and tells them that is the haircut she wants. (Apparently, lots of women take sample photos to the hair shop?)
She came out with the Jamie Lee alright. Along with a tub of the infamous GORILLA SNOT!

I thought it was pure legend, but here it is, the real deal. She don’t use it but I might find a use for a smear out in the shop, who knows. Maybe lube some wheel bearings?

Anyway, turns out I got a Jamie Lee too! I swear we both got the same hair-doo. But I didn’t have a photo. And it has been 2 months now and I feel like a fuckin hippie so we are off to ‘Griga to get trimmed back.

I got a new light modifier. A beauty dish! It is a real nice, compact unit that fits right on the flash head.

Now if someone can send me a beauty,,,,,

I also went to the dentist not long ago. Wanna see inside my yapper?

And is this represenitive of the cops these days up there? All I hear of stories of abusive cops. Maybe the good stories don’t make good news?
Where in the phuck have I been?
Well, that’s a good question. I have not been anywhere really, just sorta lost interest in the blog for a bit. Nothing very exciting going on and that can make it hard to dream up shit, but here we go again.
I made a few trips to Denver to check on big momma.
Her dementia is getting worse all the time. And with her failing health, I guess you could say she is ‘circling the drain’.
Her she is modeling my new helmet.

Last trip to Denver I cut off all my hair!
Yep, should have done it years ago. Too bad I had just that day bought a big bottle of shampoo!
I swear I’m 10 lbs lighter.

My favorite bar just got a face lift!
Mango’s got all new thatch, new stairs, new parking facility, and tonight I will see what is new inside.
I have been staying home the last 3 weeks as they were closed so yea, I’m phuckin ready for a night out!
Maybe gather up some gossip?

Our business is for sale, did I mention that? Some bites but nothing worth mentioning. We are in for the long haul, we don’t hate what we do so if it takes a while to sell, we’re OK.
We are going to build casa del Barnacle across the road and move in there while turning our house into the third rental it was originally planned to be, and we will manage the 3 rentals from over there.
Plan seems to change with every case of whiskey.

Put a new seat on my bike. A Brooks B-17.
Hand made leather from the UK, this same model has been made since 1860! That’s when they patented it. I thought it was pretty cool, and I read it is the Rolls Royce of seats(once you break it in).

I remember seeing a can or Mark Remover the custodians would use to get the black scuff marks off the school floors. We had a can we would use to spray on our foreman who was named Mark.
Now it seems WD-40 has jumped on the ‘Spray Mark’ band wagon as well.
Sitting here the other night and the dog starts growling. What the phuck! I go out and find this dude in the tree right next to our deck!
It’s a Mexican porcupine.
Who knew they climbed trees?
Things are a changing.
Take a look at what showed up at my house a couple days ago.
We have been trying out various shipping firms to see if we can find one we like over the others.
This company, Easy Shipping Belize brought me this.
It was bought in Florida where the shipper actually went and picked it up!
And about 2 weeks later viola, here it is.
It is a Giant Sedona bike. Why it came in a Specialized box is a mystery.
But here it is.

Some assembly required.

But for me that is a bunch of fun. I get to go over every bolt, nut, and screw for tightness and lube or locktite the ones I think need it, and for me that is a good time, weird huh?

And here she is all set and ready to ride.

I took it for a few rides before it dawned on me that maybe the tire pressure was not quite right.
I checked and they were both 20lbs shy! Am not used to having 55psi in my bike tires.
This sumbitch is one smooth, comfy ride!
As you can see, I pimped it out with fenders, rack, lights, bell, and mirror.
Have a computer coming soon for MPH and distance. Seems you can get them for 20 bucks, so why not?
I want/need to get some exorcize and this seems like the most enjoyable way I can think of. Already have sweated up a few sets of clothes!

Still have one more shipper to weigh in, but they are bogged down with all this Easter (zombie Jesus) crap, so I won’t see my next cast iron skillet till next week.
Then we can decide which of these shippers works best for us.
Off to ride!!!

Well, there have been so happenings as of late.
Che'z barnacle had to replace the cooker in the kitchen.
The oven door froze and I had to take the thing apart to try to loosen the hinges up. In doing so, I had the side panels off and discovered what they used for insulation. One sheet of tin foil! That's it,, nothing else. VIVA LA MEXICO!
So, I decided to sell it and get a new cooker, one made in China fer fucks sakes.
So here is what you get for your hard earned 200us dollars.

Works well enough,, but I am very excited to hear that we are going to have a nice kitchen in the new house! (coming soon)

And look waht was gifted to me the other day. More cast iron stuff.
This is a mold for corn bread, or whatever. Kinda hard to see the dimensions but you get the idea.

And from the logo on the back, we know this piece was made in the 1920's which is very cool!
Some corn bread ears will soon follow.

And what do you smear on corn bread? Why butter of course. Think there is enough in this can to last me quite some time!

So,, we/I have been trying to get us some of that Obamacare everyone is talking about and it has been very hard to do from this country. Guess what, I had to do some lying. Even had to hide my IP address before they would even talk to me!
First thing I notice with the 'Affordable care Act' is that it is not affordable. I had to submit a form to try to get a financial break as we do not make much money. I submitted the form and we waited over 45 days for a response, I assume this was while the check our income tax forms to see if we are really not making enough of an income.
Then a couple days ago, BINGO, we were both accepted for Medicaid!
I don't know how in the fuck this works as I have been trying for a year to get my mom qualified, and I get it in a few weeks?
I have not looked into it yet but I assume I am on type "B' and such would not be eligible for an assisted living place like she is in, but whatever,, we got move coverage than we had last month!
Strange times my friends,, strange times,,,
Dogs, I tell ya. They can be a handful but worth it for sure.
Tweener has been battling something that makes he itch all the time and has had a small bald spot on the top of her ass ever since she arrived her at ‘Chez Barnacle.
We have ran her by all the vets who come to visit and each has treated it different than the others with little to no success.
So we thought we would try another vet for a different prognoses. Off to Hopkins we go.
Hopkins has a very nice vet facility, way better than Placencia. All of it donated as I hear it.
This is also where Scurvy took his last doggie breath.
We turned in at the Sittee river entrance as we did last trip, but we did not take into account it has been raining,,, lots!
The road was flooded.
We made it thru but not until we tested the limits of my tolerance of where we can take the new car!
There was about 2-3 miles of flooded road, up to the doors!
Tweener was diagnosed with a flea allergy. Allergic to flea bites I guess.
So we will treat her for this and see how it works.
Either way, she loves riding in the car. What dog don’t,, right.

I flew to Denver to help deal with my sister. Has not been a pleasant trip and I still have a full day to go.
The flights in even had issues. Had to circle around Houston due to storms and landed a few minutes late. Then they could not find the guy who drives the gate-way thingy so we could not get off, all standing in the isle for about 15 minutes.
On the plus side, for the second time I was litterly the only sumbitch in the immigration AND customs lines!! So I made my connection to Denver.
Looking out the window as we came into D.I.A. I swore they made a mistake and we were in Siberia!
It is fucking cold and only getting colder. Last check it was hovering around 0 fuckin degrees!
I can't imagine getting up at 4A.M. to catch my flight out. It's gonna be bad.

We disconnected all life support systems from my sister Sunday morning and she died that afternoon.
It has been no fun dealing with death issues, again.
It just ain't right when the son has to be the one to tell mom her daughter has died.
And just as bad is when the info only stays in her head for 5 minutes, then it's on to jibberish and crap.

I gotta go turn up the heater,,,

We are full with some great folks, who are having a great
time.

Xmas was not the best but it came and went.

I received news that since last Monday my sister has been in
the hospital ICU and on life support.

She seems to had a stroke during dialysis and the doc’s say
there is no hope.

They are waiting for me to come to pull the plug, but my
flight is not till Saturday so they may do it without me. Her ‘boyfriend’ has my
permission to do what is needed. I am the only family member other than my mom.

I got the job of telling my mom what was going on. I think
she understood for about 2 minutes, then it was back to gibberish.

Never thought I’d be the one to tell my mom her daughter is dying.

So I borrowed a carry-on suitcase and made ridiculously
priced plane reservations, hotel room and car rental,,, PHUCK,, very expensive.

The fat bastard finally showed his ass round here last night!
Santa came by just about whiskey:30 and dropped off some goodies.
We were trying our hand with a shipping company after we had such a miserable time trying to get a TV that would pick up the HD channels offered by the cable company. We went round and round with the stores here and got nowhere. It really was a somewhat funny story.
Anyway, someone suggested we buy one online, have it sent to the shipping company in L.A. to be put on a ship bound for here. Then when our shit arrives, they clear it thru customs and deliver right to our door.
Sounds great,, right?
Well,, our shit arrived in L.A. on time but I could not get anyone to confirm it. No one would return e-mails, and a phone call got me nowhere also. I began to get a bit nervous when I got the same response from their Belize office! Oh shit,,, money down the shitter.
But the truck showed up last night and almost had my entire order. They were missing the stuff I included for Mango’s, but all my shit came in.
So sorry Mango’s, looks like next week for you. Maybe you have been naughty?
Anyway, back to the TV.
We found a real nice Samsung smart TV with all the cool shit, 32 inch, that we could not find here, nor would they order one.
So fuck em, we went to our old pal’s Amazon. Badda boom, Badda bing.
Also included in the order were two of these cast iron skillets.

I know I know, you are thinking what the fuck does he need more of these things for?
These 2 bring me to 6 skillets, one dutch oven, 2 griddles, one grill plate, 2 lids.
These two new ones are somewhat of a specialty item. Won’t get used much, but I had to have them.

They will make perfect eggs for egg’Mcmuffins!
And they’re just too cute.
